Just a quick question..... just reinstalled the head .... and went to fire it up and it was no go. So I hooked up the logger and saw I was getting massive amounts of knock...after a bit of messing around we did a compression test... 120 , 0 , 0 , 30 psi (had the head off to replace the pistions and rings).... well any ways found out my intake valves were sticking open...

so know my question is would the valves cause it to knock like that while cranking?

and also how do you bend valves randomly (Example: one intake per cylinder)

the timing was perfectly.

Thanks

Adam

how'd you come to the conclusion that they were sticking open? cause if they were sticking open and you tried to crank it over, they're gonna be bent up now. pistons are gonna be slapping into them everytime the piston goes up. after you put the timing belt on, did you turn it over a few times by hand first to make sure nothing was binding? sounds like a new valve job to me.

well I pulled the head and it did bend valves... ( i figured) but its weird... it bent one intake valve in each cylinder except one.

so any ideas about the massive amounts of knock???
