I just finished installing an apex turbo timer in my 1g. The turbo timer works fine but I am having trouble getting the a/f ratio guage to work. When I select a/f ratio all it diplays are dash marks. I know it says the it will remain in this mode until the O2 sensor heats up but on mine it never shows up. Also, when I select O2 volts it displays some number aroung 4.30 something, not the O2 volts. I tapped into the O2 and ground wires off of the ecu and I am 90% positive I tapped into the right wires. Has anyone else come across this problem? I know it's not vital to have the a/f gauge working as long as the tt itself works, but since it's there I might as well hook it up and make sure it works.

Would it work if I tapped into the wire that the a/f guage is tapped into? If I tappeed into that wire then where would I want to ground it to? The chasis or the ground on the ecu?

I am just wondering if u still have the problem.
But if u do! I have to tell u that you must conect the negative to the wire from the ECU (negative) otherwise the a/f accesorie won't work correctly.

Does somebody knows how to intall TT in a 1gen a????

Get the harness and plus that into your ignition plug. Then you get the diagram off VFAQ and tap whatever wires need be. DONE!

I am still having the problem. I have the negative groud to the ecu, it's hooked up exactly as the directions state. I even took it all back apart to re-wire the TT and double checked all my connections again and still no luck. Since for whatever reason it is not getting the correct reading from the ECU I just wanted to know if I could somehow tap it into the a/f guage wiring, but where would I ground it then?

titogs95, are you saying that I could tap into the a/f guage wiring for the signal but still use the ground off the ecu?

I tapped the ecu for the a/f and also tapped the e-brake wire, then I grounded it to the chasis of the car.

Does the a/f ratio guage and O2 volt guage work since you grounded it to the chasis and not the ecu?

I guess I'll try finding a better ground and see if that helps.

I am having another problem that's related to the TT but I thought I'd try asking it here first before posting another thread. This only started happening recently with the extremely cold weather but when I take the key out and open the drivers side door the automatic seat belt no longer goes back by itself. It will just sit there until the TT shuts the car off, then it will goes back only when the car isn't running. Any ideas?

sounds to me like someone has ghetto rigged yer seatbelt to open when the ignition switch shuts off not when the door opens. try looking arround in the wires and if you know how to wire things rewire it back to the way its stupposed to be.
