Please Help !

Im having a weird problem..sometimes i will be driving my car and the POS will just shut off..ill try to start it and it wont start..The check engine light is blinking so i know that, it cant be good..when i wait about hours it then starts back up. Its happened several times. Sometimes it happens when i red line 2 gears in a row, and sometimes when im just driving..One time it happened, the car started to sputter and shot a flame out of the tail pipe and was followed by a pretty black cloud of smoke..if anyone has ANY idea as to what this is feel free to let me know..Thanks

Just a thought, look for any electrical shorts in the wiring. I had my positive battery terminal touch the hood after I hit a bump causing everything to shut off. I was able to turn the car on after about 5 min of trying to figure out what happened. Everything works fine except I fried my EGT/Boost/Oil Temp gauges.

Yeah at first i thought it was a battery problem, but i would still have power to everything out, also im still suspecting a spark plug problem, cause the plus are burning to hott cause i can see the white ash on the plug. I was think maybe the fuel was flooding the plug and causing it to die out and the reason i had to wait is for the fuel to clear the system..but im just not sure on what it is...
