I posted earlier on this problem. My car sputters at around 4k when accelerating.....heres the catch...it only does it in the warmer weather, around 75 degrees. We had a cold snap and the temps got down in the lower 50's and the problem stopped. It would pull as hard as any mostly stock dsm I have ever been in. As soon as it warmed back up, the problem showed back up. What could this be? It smells like it is running rich, if this is it how can i adjust it.

The reason it went away when it was colder is because the air was more dense so your fuel was being burnt properly. When it is warmer out the air is less dense so you are getting the same amount of fuel but technically less air causing you to run rich. Turn the boost up a little bit and force some more air into the engine so the fuel can be atomized properly. Be carefull of how far you turn it up (stock fuel just go to about 14) and also watch it on those cold days because you may hit fuel cut, and no one likes fuel cut.....feels like a brick wall stepped out in front of you. Or you can get some type of fuel control and lean out your fuel. You could also upgrade your intercooler piping.
 
Ok guys, I made a new discovery today. I originally though it sputtered under acceleration but I was wrong. I finall got the car up to around 110 today because I was in a hurry but couldnt maintain the speed. It was messing up without accelerating. just trying to keep it at any speed above 4k rpm was like riding a bucking horse :confused:

What in the world!! I dont have a boost controller so I cant move it up. There has to be a way to correct this :cry: :cry:
