Crank Threds Messed Up Help!!!

I FIGURED OUT WHY I KEEP SNAPING FLYWHEEL BOLTS. BUT NOT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM THE THREDS ON THE CRANK FOR THE FLYWHEEL BOLTS TO SCREW INTO GOT MESSED UP SOMEHOW. CAN I TAP-DIE FIX THEM OR IS IT A SPECIAL THRED ON THE BOLT. I TRIED PUTTING ONE BOLT IN AND OUT TO TRY AND FIX. BUT NO GO ON THAT ONE. IF YOU HAVE IDEAS LET ME KNOW THANK YOU

Kill the caps.

Try running a tap thru, you may luck out. Use LocTite when you re-assemble. You may want to step up to red.

you may have better luck drilling out the hole and putting in a heli-coil.
