Ladysmith,
Uhh yeh ok so I'm doing a boost leak test, fixed one going from the wastegate solenoid to the BSC....and the other one was under the rad fill cap, from a hose running along side the left side of the valve cover...there was a lil yellow/tan colored plastic connector, that brought two lil hose/lines into one, then the one hole end went into a hose on the thing under the rad cap on the thermosdat ( i think) ...wtf was this thing..the plastic lil connector was broken right in half...and then i went to pull it out and it just shattered like a ####in cracker...
...but ive been driving since day one with it like that as far as i know....i plugged the two holes (the ones the spliced into one) and left the single hole, then cut and re-atteched the BCS/WG hose and the boost is more responsive now, but i still need to helicoil a manifold stud...or attemp to extract the snapped one...there was a 3rd boost leak..couldn;y find it visualy with soapy water, but by sounds it looked like it was coming out of the turbo ?!?!....
i decided to dismiss this silly idea and ruled it out as some leakage out of the leak tester pipe
. Once i get a new Y connector from the junker (hopefully with out the crumbly cracker sydrome) and fix the manifold stud ill confirm this theory on the leak tester cap
....thanks for anyone who know wtf this Y connector was joining together, looked aroudn in the manual but couldn't find it.
Thanks
Wayne
P.S If no one knows ill try to borrow the digi cam and take a pic...
