fmic piping leaks?

k well im building my own fmic piping and a buddy of mine is welding it up. we've found a couple of pinholes (literally that small) we found them by just compressing air through them and using soapy water. some of them are a bi*** to seal. anyways, is there a better way to seal the holes instead of constantly trying to weld over and over again? like couplers over them? how much will this impact performance? and whats the difference on the impact if the holes are in the exhaust side, or intake side? any ideas wold be awesome. thanks.

Man do i know your pain right now. I didn't have to weld but i had to solder and boy those little leaks are a PITA. sorry i can't suggest a remedy but as far as the intake exhaust side thing there really isn't one IMO with intercoolers. Any leaks between the intake and intake mani are bad.

once you get the leaks down to pin holes its easy to use jb weld on the seams, just make sure to let the JB weld set up for a full 24 hours b4 you put them to use. ( use the real jb weld and not the 4 hours stuff)

I did this on a few pin holes i had and i run 28psi on my gt14 turbo and they have held just fine.

yeah shit, i never thought about the jbweld. also what about poxy? that stuff hardens like crazy too does it not? maybe to be safe i should be either jbweld or poxy on all of the welds. ???
