clutch pedal

i have one question. should i be able to pull my clutch pedal out about an inch after i release it? ive had a problem with the clutch since i installed it. ive replaced everything except the pedal assembly and im thinking that has to be it but i keep second guessing myself because i have tried everything else to have no success with it. please help and add your 2 cents.

Sounds like maybe you are in need of a new slave cylindar......have you tried bleeding the system to make sure there is no air in it?

Once the pedal is released, you should not be able to pull it up any more. It is your pedal assembly that is bad. This is a major pain in the ass to replace.
