Ok this is sort of long but I need some help on this. I was washing my car the other day w/ my headlights and fogs on because it was getting dark and it helps me see. While washing the front I noticed my passenger foglight was not on but the driver one was. (That one happens to be cracked and gets water in it.) I then saw smoke from under the hood and rushed to turn off the lights. I did but they stayed on still. I popped the hood and removed the positive battery wires and they cut off. I found out there was a 30 fuse in the fogs instead of the required 15.(Not my doing.) I also found out the positive wire from the foglight all through the main harness to the fusebox under the hood was melted, melting other wires together also. I picked all the wires apart and the only one hurt is the foglight wire, all the rest are OK now. The melting did not go to the other light or anywhere other than where I said, from the fog to the fusebox. But now if I have the foglights on and I put a fuse in it blows right then. And also when I turn on my headlights it also cuts my A/C fan and compressor on and if I cut the A/C on, my parking lights dimly glow. I have checked all the main wireing in the harness and nothing seems to be touching anymore. But inside the fusebox 3 wires are uncovered now but seem not to touch. My question here and now is, could my fusebox have been melted somewhat or be bad from this causing these things to occur? Can I just get another fusebox and wire it in and be good-to-go? Please everyone give me as much help as you can on this because I want my car back to normal. Mitsubishi wants 75 bucks just too look and could be around 3000 to fix. HELLLPP!!!:
