i smell gas

So i've noticed that my car stinks of gasoline after i drive it..today i got down under the car and started to smell around. Where do the gas lines run under the car from the fuel pump to filter? Cause i have a good strong smell under the passenger door. I may be leaking gas and that could be the cause i'm getting under 200mpg/tank.

no i'm still in the process of maintence stuff cuase i just got the car not too long ago...my guess is maybe one of the lines rusted through or something cause i've been eating up gas like crazy

the egr system ( charcoal can area) can make gas smell very bad if they are failing ( remove the whole dam egr system hehe)

the car is pretty much bone stock except filter and some free mods (opened up boost seneold, removed honycomb crap in MAF(small)) the smell is not even from the engine bay...it's very strong around the passenger door...i gotta take some plastic off and see if the fuel lines go under there cause i think their rusted through...i'm eating gas pretty quickly and it sucks cause it's up to 2.30/gal over here

call the dealer, give them your VIN and ask if there are any open recalls...they arent SUPPOSED to lie

okay i looked under the car...i found the leak...it's drippin from the line coming from the tank...not sure which it is...got a good look at the fuel leaking out...kinda wana have a shop do cause i dont feel like messing with fuel, hopefully it's just a line or gasket

If its leaking by any fittings, try to tighten them. If you need to, you can replace the lines with steel brained... or if its small, JB Weld will fill the hole or crack or whatever. I had to install and After market fuel sender and had a couple holes in the top of the mounting plate... filled with JB Weld and no more leaks or fumes.

yeah for now it's just gonna have to sit and wait to be fixed...i hope it's not gonna cost alot cause i wana get winter tires soon and i'm limited on funds right now....so i'll let ya know probably tuesdayish
