in the dash the indicator for the handbrake doesn't turn off even when the hand break is down. Anyone experienced this before? If so how do I fix it??? thanks in advance

its because the brake fluid in the brake fluid resevoir is low. Theres a little sponge in the resevoir and if theres no fluid touching the sponge it will trip the brake light. Fill it up , problem solved.

thanks i heard that if i open it the pressure in the brakes will all escape is that teh same thing or completely off the topic if so how do i build the pressure back up

-You lost brake pressure if the plastic container become empty, b/c air get into the brake lines & air can be compressed easier, so when you step on the brake, there won't have enough pressure in the brake line to engage to the brake pads.
-On the lid of the container tell you what kind of fluid to put in, fill it to the top line, try no to get any brake fluid on the paint.
-If the fluid in the container is black, then you should have your brake system bleed, to replace all the old fluid in the line with flesh fluid.

so basically pour more brake fluid in and bleed it if it's too dark
thanks a lot you guys have been great help
