Last night I took my valve cover off and put a new gasket on, bleed the clutch and today when i start it up it dies after about 40 seconds and now this awful winding sound when i try to start it and it won't start Any solutions or suggestions would be great. I have to be to work at 5am in the morning and my 91 eclipse gs 2.0L fwd is my only means of transportation.

In the manual, any time you are going to do anything under the hood it says that you are to disconnect the battery. Did you do this when you took your valve cover off? Try doing it now to reset the ecu and see if that helps The winding noise is interesting. Does the starter motor itself turn over while its making this noise? Or does it sound like it isnt making contact with the flywheel? You might just need a starter. I know that they can just give up the ghost at any time with out warning. Happened to me. It took me three days to figure that one out. :p
good luck

EIther you're leaving something out that you touched, or you forgot to put a vacuum hose or something back. Cars don't magically stop starting just from changing the valve cover gasket and bleeding some clutch fluid. You must have touched something else, otherwise it's a heck of a coincidence.
