I've just installed a new Buscher upper I/C pipe & a new, Buscher crushed, 1G BOV. Did a vacuum leak test (holds 25 psi now!!) & took it for a test drive. Everything seemed fine. Was even pleasantly surprised by the fact I was pulling 17psi of boost, without a controller, with just these new mods! Went for a drive the next day & on the way home, the thing starts sputtering on boost. Put it in the garage & took it out the next morning for a test drive. Still sputters. Later that afternoon, I had to run an errand about an hour away, all expressway driving. Shifted before boost to keep the sputtering from happening. On the way home, I got on it just to see. It sputtered a little around 15psi of boost, but not as bad as before. Got on it a bunch more times until the sputtering finally went away. Now everything seems fine.

Anyone w/any ideas on what's going on here???

Ok, I pressure tested it again, just to be sure, & found no leaks. Is air escaping from the oil cap considered a boost leak? I have a GAR cap which has a sticker on top covering maybe a vent hole. Air & oil come out of this on a vacuum leak test. Is this normal??? Other than that, I find no other leaks. Put it back together & the car runs fine. Want to avoid having this problem come up again suddenly at a race though. It was raining when this problem arose & come to think of it, the sun came out the next day shortly before the problem went away. I ran the car in the dark & saw no sparks coming from plug wires or anything. Besides, the car ran fine as long as I wasn't in boost.

Just for yuks, I reset the ECU. Took the car out & the problem came back. After about 20 min. of expressway driving, it went away. Why is it doing this??? It seems the ECU is compensating for something. I'm hoping it's not compromising performance. Any thoughts here??

It seems by looking at your other posts other members have already told you the t-25 won't do much past 15psi.

On another note you shouldn't even boost past 14 or so on stock fuel and ecu. You also need a full 2.5-3in exhust, and a k&n or other open element air filter. You risk damage, and the fact you don't have fuel mods or anyway to tune is the reason your sputtering, just save up for a better turbo and SUPORTING MODS
