hey I have white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I had a compression check 600 miles ago and it was fine. Also moisture is right inside the muffler, and cupping my hand aroud the exhaust flow I get a slight moisture on my hand. There is not a lot of white smoke and the coolant level has not gone down. I have done research and I believe that it is my head gasket, but I want to make sure. the smoke gives off a gasoline smell. plus, how bad is it to drive on a bad head gasket? What is a good aftermarket head gasket?

White smoke is coolant. It more than likely is your head gasket. As far as your other questions, can't help ya there, as I don't know myself. Sorry :(

check ur dipstick b4 u do a head gasket...if its milky then i would say its ur head gasket...bc mine does the same thing, good compression, no milky sh** , i think mine is bc where the exhaust manifold connects there are some studs broke and there is a gap...i think moisture is getting in there and smoking ...my turbo has no shaft play...the smoke mine gives off is sometimes white, other times blue...mainly at idle...but sometimes when driving....soo...i would look for the milky oil...

My dipstick does have oil that drips off of it like it is pretty watery, but after my car is warmed up and driven the smoke goes away usually. some oil surfaces out where my plug wires connect to the valve cover, but that might be a separate issue

first off if he didn't know what he was looking for on the dipstick he wouldn't know how to do a head gasket anyways and then a mechanic can diagnose his car

my oil does seem to be a light brown color, but does anyone know of a good aftermarket head gasket or if it is harmful to be driving the car in its current condition. Basically head gaskets are expensive if you don't do them yourself and how long do I have to save up for it?

It can be harmful to drive on a bad head gasket. You could warp something. But head gaskets are not THAT expensive. Around $100 I do believe. Just look around and buy what you think will be best for your car.

i wanted to go the route of least upgrades by getting a headgasket that could handle a lot of hp
