Here's the deal...

Whenever the engine is running I cannot get the car to go into any gear, even with the clutch depressed.

I am able to get the car into gear when the engine is NOT running. However, when I try to start the car with it in gear and clutch depressed it won't turn over.

does your pedal stay on the floor
mine did after winter and turned out to be the clutch master cylinder and slave units were shot

it doesn't stay to the floor.. it sort of gets stuck halfway after i let off it and then pops back into normal position after a second or two.

anyone else???

The people at the shop said the whole CLUTCH is out and I'd have to get a new clutch and the flywheel would have to be resurfaced. Does this sound right?

The car drives fine whenever I seldomly am able to get it into gear it just doesn't go into gear 99% of the time. The stick just stays in the neutral-ish position (will move side to side) sort of like its locked and it wont go into any gear.
