Car is 96 AWD. Mods are intake, 2.5 turbo back, upper & lower I/C pipes with bov, 15 psi on T-25. I had this problem where sometimes when I would shift gears and then hit the gas the car would just not go. Then I shift to the next gear and it would be fine again. Only happened every once in a while. Now in the past week it happens all the time in every gear. I press down on the gas and the car will not go. Won't boost past 10 psi and kind of bucks almost like it would if you were running out of gas. I checked all my vaccum line connections and my Intercooler pipes and everything is fine. The couplers are new. Spark plugs are only a couple months old NGK'S. So I was thinking maybe clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, injectors? The car has 81,000 miles. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for the help. Sorry about the long post.

I checked all my vacuum lines, made a new coupler for my UICP and made sure everything was tightened up and still does the same thing. When I'm in first gear and I hit about 3500 rpm it's like I hit a wall. Any more suggestions. I just can't see how my car can be acting this bad when it was fine a week ago.

Ok, today was the first time I have had the car on the freeway since this started happening. I noticed when I was driving that black smoke was coming from my tail pipe. But only when I put the pedal to the floor. And I struggled to make it up to 80 mph. So I basically just feathered the pedal so I wasn't boosting over 3 or 4 psi and it ran ok. But as soon as I put the pedal down harder it just felt like I was pulling a 2000 pound trailer or something and the black smoke. When I got home I checked the oil, it was fine. Checked the o2 sensor and spark plugs and they are fine (I was thinking black smoke = Fuel). I was just wondering, My headgasket is on it's way out and has been for some time and I just haven't been able to get it fixed, could it have just blown and thats why I'm having this problem? But doesn't white smoke = head gasket, this smoke was black. Anybody have any ideas?

Well from the black smoke it either sounds like the t25 is on its way out or your getting some oil past those rings (like my car which needs a rebuild now) Just check your turbo for any shaft play, if thats good then id say do a compression test...just my .02

Thanks for the input. I will check the turbo tomorrow but I don't think it's that because the turbo is only about two years old. The oil getting past the rings could be a possibility. I just still think it's weird that it happened all of a sudden. The car went from fine to crappy in less than a week. If anybody else has any advice I would like to hear it.
