Okay, i was driving on the highway last night probably around 55 mph. I was just kind of cruising in 4th gear and i was wondering how much boost my t25 would sustain at full throttle if i were to hold it for awhile. So i just kinda get on the gas and i watch my boost guage, It shoots up to 15psi and then kinda settles down to 10 psi. I know thats pretty normal behavior for a t25. The weird thing i noticed was that my rpms would shoot up to around 4800 then actually drop down to like 4400 while i was still on full throttle. I know i was in a higher gear than i should have been. Is this just my crappy t25 or is it my clutch possibly? My friend told me it could be my clutch slipping, but it still catches pretty hard and my car never does anything strange like that in lower gears while accelerating. Please help if you can, any advice would be appreciated..

extra info : t25 has 121,000(i dont think it has ever been changed)

thanks in advance- Brandon

yup sounds like your clutch is going to start to go. A clutch usually will start slipping in higher gears first when its going bad. Dont worry about it yet until it becomes a common occurence. But in the mean time start saving up for a new clutch.

Correct me if i am wrong, but i thought the slipping would happen more when you shift into a gear and not just cruising and hitting in the gas. This all happened without me shifting at all. Anyone else please post!
