Just bought a 2g talon awd. The car drives fine except when I make left turns, then it feels as though the tail is all over the place. At times on the highway it will literally go back and forth till I slow to 40 or so. Here is a little background on the car, it might help. The 5 speed trans was replaced about 20k ago. The guy I bought it from told me that a tire shop gave him different size tires on different wheels so it trashed the trans but they had it rebuilt. The trans seems fine, with the exception of poping out of first occasionally but that is a seperate problem Does anyone know what might be causing the tail sway. Did the tires cause the rear to go bad as well and cause this. I also noticed that the previous owner had the rear struts replaced with some kyb's but not the fronts. This leads me to believe that he was trying to correct this problem but that didnt do it. Could the rear cause the tail sway? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This thing is scary to drive sometimes, but its my only car.

I know I have a N/T but this is what happened to mine. I kept on using the E-Brake (Yes I am an idiot) and it made flat spots on the back tires. You can't see the spots but when I bought some new tires it made a world of difference. I used to be able to go 50 now I can go over 100 and no problem. Also check out your bushings in the rear. If you can't buy new tires then just do a rotation and see if that helps. Also get them balanced.
