what happened

i was driving and lost my oil pressure and it started to smell like a burning belt so i shut the engine off and then turned it back on to get off the street come to find out the oil drain plug fell out i put oil back in it and a plug started it. before at ilde my oil pressure gauge read 20 pounds now it reads only ten i was wondering if i blew up the motor or what happend to it if you could help that would be great.

when it is cold it only goes to about 45 pounds of oil pressure is it the main bearings or did I toast the engine
