Type S on Stock UIC pipe

I have a type S, and want to know if they make an adaptor for it so I can mount it on the stock 2g upper IC pipe. I know I would be better off with a hard pipe, but I am moving accross country in a few weeks and money is tight, I will be getting hard pipes down the road, I am just looking for a quick fix for now, somthing in the $30.00 range. I think I found it on this site http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclintake.htm But I am not totaly sure if that is what I am looking for. Does anyone know where I can order the adaptor so I can get the type S on before I head out?

Dude, don't bother with the flange. Wait till you get the whole UICP. It will leak like a mother and you'd be lucky that it doesn't fly out under pressure (well... not really, I'm just scarring you). But yeah, its a pain in the ass to get the thing in there tight and when you get your UICP, you'll end up spending more money. Trust me, I did the same thing and I had to go through the trouble of selling the flange back out for less money.

I wouldn't dump extra money on it either. I just received my Type-S in the mail in anticipation for piping I'm purchasing soon. I did the SSM to it and I'm still going to run it in my stock piping because the adaptor came with my kit - you likely just picked up the universal version.

I ordered the one from Dejontools.com the piping on the flange was smaller than the hole on the stock UICP and it was really hard to get it to stay and the stock pipe did have slits on it from factory so it did leak.

Sorry, that universal quote was for Bjeezy01. Although, that's strange that yours turned out loose like that, unless the flange you got was for 1g. Is there even a difference in the 1g and 2g BOV diameter?

It sounds like you probably forgot to take the rubber washer/bushing thing off the bottom of the stock BOV and put it on the flange. I did that myself yesterday and was thinking the same thing as you about the hose size, then later I was looking at the stock one and noticed the rubber washer and realized "oh... that's what the instructions meant" This morning, I put it on the Greddy adapter and it fit really tight in the hose.
