Ok, just when I had thought I had seen all of the little problem light patterns a new one pops up. Here is the question....Today I was driving and had to brake a little harder than normal. All of a sudden my stereo cut out, and my check engine light came on and the seatbelt light and the little ringer when the seatbelt is off. All four at the same time. Then like 3 seconds later everything shut off and the stereo came back on....Any body ever seen this before and if so what was the solution to the problem....Thanks :thumb:

Ha just sound like one of those out of nowhere dsm gliches. geez these are wierd cars but i love'em. If it happens a lot i would look into it more, but if its only done it once , and no warning lights stayed on, i think youll be fine.

that happened to me when my alternator took a crap on me. I'd go get it checked at an autozone or someplace that does it for free before you just assume everything's perfectly fine.

Well Mike hit it right on the button.....After I typed the message I went out to check my oil....And BEHOLD, my battery tie down was broken and well the battery had welded to the hood.....So now I just wrapped the post up with electrical tape until I can get to the junkyard for a new piece....but now half of my wingnut is missing and there is a little hole in my hood....LOL.....that is the wierdest thing I have heard of happening, but Im sure not the last with these cars......

Before you go looking for the tie down bracket get that wing nut off there ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wing not is just a tad to tall and thats whats arcing the hood. Put a nut on that thing instead of a wing nut. You dont want your entire electrical system shorting out like what happened to my Laser :(
