Just started happening after I replaced the cig lighter and installed the LM-1 (which I did at the same time)... I can't think of how that could have any affect on it, but that's when it started happening. Basically, when I drive, if I let of the throttle at any time, the rpm's go down, but don't drop below 2k unless I slow to 15mph or less - basically coming to a complete stop.

The funny thing is, my power locks stopped working at the same time. I've checked all the fuses I could find - nothing was blown.

Any thoughts?

Could you have knocked any vacume lines off during your install or hit the CC lines? I assume you disconnected your battery prior to the work? Could be the ECU is still hunting for the correct Idle?

maybe something with the tps? My talon goes to like 2000 rpms if I just tap the gas and jsut kinda chills there. It takes almost a minute for it to slowly drop back down. 1 time I got a check engine light for " throttle positioning sensor " ... wierd thing is my power door locks don't work either.

Well, it's not dependant on engine warm up - it does it all the time. I disconnected the battery a couple of times to reset the ECU... I'll check the vacuum lines, although I don't think I touched any on the install. I love when I fix one thing and two more things stop working immediately after :) Keeps me busy :(

I hate to revive this thread, but I'm having the same issue you had with my 1g. By "CC Line" do you mean charcoal canister? This 2k until 15mph is bugging me. Was your line off, or? Thanks!

check your ISC motor at the throttle body, friend of mine had very similar issues and it was a bad ISC that in turn fried a portion of the ecu.

I had this problem come from out the blue one day. Someone told me my brakelights wasn't working so I checked the fuse. It was shot and I changed it out and the sticking rpms went away. Might not be your fix, but I'd check fuses

This is strange, but my room fuse was blown, and after that was replaced things went back to normal? I'm going to have to look at a wiring diagram to see why that would cause the rpm's to do that. Thanks for all the replies!:thumb:
