Exhaust Manifold Problem

I bought my car in a place where there are no emissions, but where I live there are. My question is that on my exhaust mani there is a spot for a sensor and I dont know if this will effect e-check or not. What sensor goes there and will me not having it effect my car passing/not passing emmisions? I still have to get my cat put on so I havent gotten my car e-checked yet.

-The car doesn't have any sensor on the exh-manifold from the factory, if it's on the exh-manifold closest to the driver side, then most likely it's an exhaust gas temp sensor, you can just plug the hole if you don't use it. should effect the smog test.
