canada,
Hey, 90 tsi awd

Areas I was working near:
Removed upper heat shield, removed nuts but did not remove lower heat shield, removed intake pipe. Removed wastegate acuter.

Problem
I did a swap today of Waste Gate Acuters, from my old turbo to the one on my car now.
After i put everything back together my car dident start. Once I boost it, it runs but as soon as i turn it off its dead again. The car was running perfectly before i did the swap, is there anything electrical i could have hit, losened or damaged during the swap that would cause this problem (bad connection to battery or alternator)??

Thanks

Check vaccuum lines and connecting hoses if you have the stock intake tract. Plug the MAF back in? Sounds dumb, but we all forget small things when we're in a hurry to try out the new mod.

The only electrical stiff that is around that area is the stuff for the thermostat and the o2 sensor. Did you by chance disconnect the o2 so you wouldn't hit it while working on the wastegate?

no o2 sensors still in there, but im also thinking that the
lower heat shield might have disconected somthing at the bottom of
the alternator cuz i was wiggling the shit outta it tryin to get it off.

Could that be a problem?

Thanks again

I guess you could have hit one of the wires going to the alternator. Those wires are tiny and can break easy on older cars from the heat. Take a flashlight and make sure you didn't wack the ground or something.

more then likely you blew out your main fuse for the car. its in the box under the hood. you have to take the bolt out of it before you can pull it out.

upon inspection of my alternator i saw that there is a yellow stripe and black wire
hanging lose at the bottom of it. Could this be my problem?
And also should i replace my main alternator fuse?

Thanks
