Okay, I know little about cars, and their mechanics.

Several people have commented on the overflow being empty since I got my car almost 2 years ago. I have a pretty good mechanic, and take my car in for oil changes right on schedule. I would think he would notice something wrong with the overflow...

My overflow is never to the line its supposed to be at. My temp gauge never goes above the middle and my car has never overheated.
I did...STUPIDLY fill the overflow with ,straight water when I first got the car maybe 1 or 2 times...I dunno why I did it, I dont know what I was thinking.
Im taking my car to the mechanic Monday, what should I tell them? How much damage have I done in the past 2 years?
I live in Florida so its hot here almost all the time, if something that cools the car was broken, I would think it would have overheated by now.

Okay.. From what I made of your jumble of a paragraph.

Your overflow bottle (for the coolant I assume) is empty. You filled it with straight water (which by the way, won't hurt anything.) And it is empty again.. That means that coolant is going somewhere, ie. a leak, burning off.

Coolant/water cannot just disappear. It goes somewhere. If you haven't overheated at all, then you haven't hurt anything. You just have to figure out where the fluid is going to.

Look for a crack in your overflow tank. Have your mechanic do a pressure test on your cooling system, and if everything's okay (and it probably is if it's running like that), then it's due for a flush-and-fill anyway.
