my 1g is idling rough as hell. The turbo wont boost, it gets to '0', but will not boost at all. What would this problem be? turbo fuked, or is it some kind of sensor holding back boost? sorry im a newb to DSMs

Have you messed w/ the BIS screw any to see if it would help the idle? Using a MBC? How much boost where you running before? Checked for leaks? You can check out the turbo too. Probably wouldnt hurt.

Goto Vfaq.com make a boost leak tester and check it out. You have a leak somewhere if you can't make boost unless your turbo bit the big one.

ok thanks, ill do that. Someone suggested my wastegate may be stuck on full open or osmething, not allowing the turbo to compress. The rod coming off of hte turbo to the wastegate is stuck, and doesnt move whatsoever. Im going to put the car on a scanner wednesday and pull ECU codes, and going to check for leaks i suppose. Any other suggestions are helpful. Oh, and the car idles and drives fine now, just NO boost
