14b install

im about to buy a 14B TURBO
my question is
can i use the 2g install kit to install this turbo or do i just need the j pipe???

First of all congratz on getting the 14b. Im a satisfied 2g spyder converted to 14b You need both water return lines, 2 oil return lines and the j pipe to complete the install. But just bought a t3/t4 50 trim so the 14b is taking a nap..

can i just buy the 2g install kit?

water lines?? i didn't know 2gs had a water resovior anywhere i thought that was on the evo

You can buy all the lines from the dealership, just need the 1g lines. And the j pipe you are going to have to fabricate one or buy one from a dsmshop * road race, etc etc*

You need a j-pipe, and an oil supply line. You can modify the T-25 water lines to work with the 14B. You'll also need crush washers for the water lines, and oil supply line banjo bolts (I don't think they're the same size). You can use the oil return line from the T-25, but the bolt holes have to be enlarged, and different size bolts to connect it to the 14B are needed. I agree with flinguist...re-use the 2g water lines. As long as you are slow and careful in bending them, you'll be fine. Also, instead of getting a stock 1g oil line, I'd just go with a braided stainless one. Don't want any problems! Good luck
