Ok here is the bastard circuit thats blowing my #19 room fuse. It is the plug above the heater relay, just above the long terminal connector, 2 red wires 2 blue. I've tracked it down to where it goes through the firewall with the headlamp bundle, but I loose it there. And its not in any of the electrical manuals I've looked over. Car is a 93 AWD, no ABS, with A/C, 5 speed, 6 speaker stereo. I have the manuals for 91-92 and the 93/94 and its not in any of them. Anyone know wtf it goes to?

Well if you really believe thats the problem then you have a short to ground. pull out the connecter and check your insulation, also inspect your wires as far as you can and look for chaffing, burning or anything suspious. there could also be that light chance that its the device its plugged in to but start with the wires. If you need more help look at a schematic and follow those wires.

Read my first post closer, this circuit is not in ANY diagrams in ANY of the electrical manuals. I can trace it to the wire bundle thats in the firewall, that supplies the head lamps withpower, but I loose them after the firewall. I'm not taking the fender off again thats a PITA. And the device is plugged into is the central junction box, where all the wiring harnesses meet and join the fuse box. I know the fuse box thats bad, those don't go unless they get wet.

I know the circuit feeds power to the interior lights, radio, and power locks. the short blows the 10 amp fuse when its in, and then no power can get to those systems with it out. I just cant find the damn diagrams for that circuit. I just might have to cut the electrical tape off the wire bundle under the fender... that means more messing with the fender, boy oh boy...

Well first off before you get pissy, Yeah we established the short to ground... ground is touching something that it shouldnt be touching. There is no other option. So get a muilt-meter stick it in the pins and find out which one is ground... it will be the one with no voltage running through. Now also every wire has a wire number look on it and see which one it is... if all the wires look identicle the one with an "N" on the last letter is your ground
that means you can look in side your cabin for that same wire. since it will be the same number. chances are one of the power wires are chaffed and its rubbing against something metal, fender, firewall whatever... but typically for that system to be shorting it has to be grounding itself to the grounding wire of that connector. I cant investigate it for you, but i wish you luck..

If you can't find the real manuals, your public library is liable to have schematic books on the shelves, too. One library here had the complete "Mitchals Auto Manuals" professional set (that shops normally have to pay a subscription for). You also might try unplugging the power locks relay (and trying it) since the locks is the primary suspect circuit that would most likely have the short. Don't know where it is on a 1g but it's behind the radio on a 2g next to the starter relay. Hope this helps.

FOUND IT! Finally, and by mistake. I was pulluing the BOV tube off for the starbucks crowd (they all love the phoosh sound BTW) and saw a spark by my CAI box. Low and behold it had rubbed through the insulation of the head light bundle of wires, and cut into 2 red wires, tada! Same ones on the mystery plug in the fuse box. Re taped them, and bent the CAI box so it doesn't touch them anymore. Done and done.
