hey all another dumb post by me.............. well i was wondering i took mt cam case cover off and i tried to powerwash the it in and out. not much came off the inside.. any ideas on what to clean it with? :talon:

Hit ti with brakecleaner or carb cleaner. I like Berrymans, but you can use what ever you want.

Oven cleaner is also an option also but you have to be careful and quick becasue it will eat the plastic.

ok maybe I am being dumb here, you are referring to the valve cover correct?

If so, I used oven cleaner on it and it works great.

I don't understand where the oven ceaner hurts plastic came from.

First the valve has no plastic on it, and second he stated he had it off.

Also if you look at break parts cleaner, I believe it says on the back that it is not good for plastic parts either.

The oven cleaner I used on my old truck ate through plastic when I left it on there for a few minutes. It was just a warning.

Most carb or break cleaner will evaporate before it hurts what ever you put it on.

You are thinking to literal. Most people when they are cleanign something will do it over plastic or wood or something to protect the floor or bench they are working on. If he is letting it sit on a bench that is plastic or if he is laying plastic on the ground then goes town with it he will eat it away. There may be alot of plastic surounding him and not just on the valve cover. I just wanted him to know it can eat it up.
