Engine won't go beyond 2000 RPM.

Just happened now, and didn't really have a chance to look at it yet.

Basically, I was driving along, and suddenly, had a loss of power. The engine itself will not go above 2000 RPM, and the idle itself is rough. I had to putt along at 15 MPH for a few miles.

Even at idle, and in neutral, the engine will not go above 2000 RPM, and it stutters when I try to.

There are no visible signs of smoke or anything, and I can't get any positive pressure at all on my boost gauge. Maxes out at 0. Any ideas?

After doing a bit of searching, I've noticed that a few other people have had similar problems. I'm about to go check for some boost leaks now.

Ok, problem solved. It seems that the upper IC pipe clamp came loose, and the bottom section of the piping came loose from the throttle body.

I have no idea how this blew off, never touched that clamp ever. (stock upper IC pipe).

best thread ever... I had the same problem once, the best thing is to get some hi performance clamps so it will never go off again!

I really wonder how it came loose though. I took my car for an inspection yesterday, but I doubt that they'd really fool around with the piping or the throttle body, correct?
