From reading, it doesn't seem that there is any way to adjust the valves...correct me if I'm wrong. The lifters were extremely loud when we swapped to a new refurb head. We only had the car running for 30 seconds so I'm assuming that with more time, it will quiet down?? I have a small electrical problem so the car is forced to sit for now. Thanks.

its pretty typical for them to be noisy at first even if everything is OK. I always pump the adjusters up in a tub of oil prior to installation and when everything is together I crank the engine at least a minute (in bursts) with the spark plugs out to get the oil passages primed. Even then they can clatter a minute or two before they settle down.
