I have a 95 gsx thats basically stock except for the aftermarket air filter. I put a pipe that goes from the turbo to the airfilter and a greddy type s bov and a upper i/c piping on and the car was running good except for the fact that the boost guage went from 15lbs max to 20 not sure why maybe from the bov i guess thats a good thing though. But the car was shifting really hard, now the car runs for a while and runs srong except the hard shifting but then it started to sputter when the turbo would kick in and it seemed like i was loosing power almost like a boost leak or could it be the bovneeds to be adjusted diferently. Could a kinked house do this or something along that line just really confused on what to do at this point i would put the stock bov back on excepti stapped the nozzle part.

You should see what your BOV from Greddy is setup for, I know the factory 2g BOV don't work well passed 15lbs, it seems to me that you are getting boost creep and your car is hitting fuel cut, as far as your hard shifting is this car an auto or manual?

Its a manual and it seems like when I get going 60-80 and im on the gas the car sputters or seems to build up then boom its like it lets and and flys but then a few seconds later it spudders again and almost stalls out .so im real confused if it where the bov how do i adjust it i tried playing withte screw and that thing did nothing

I would say you are hitting fuel cut more than likely. It is really hard to judge what it might be without actually see it in person, sorry but maybe someone else might be able to help you.

Hmm how do I know if its fuel cutoff see what happens is it runs fine till it feels like it builds up and rpms start going down then its like one big shot the bov blows off then boom the car flys for a few minutes then it seems to blow its load and the rpms drop if i let it idle it would probably die. At idle its fine though and it will run ok for a little while. I am definetly a rookie with this turbo stuff so any imput is good imput.

It may not be fuel cut, when that happens it is like hitting a wall, are you venting your BOV into the atmoshpere or is it recirculating back into the intake pipe, if you are venting then that is your problem, the motor runs rich in between shifts and cause the car to basically flood out, that could be one cause.

well on the greddy type s there are 2 nozzles im hooked up to the top and and left the bottom one unconnected is this bad ???

Pardon the crude drawing but this will explain it better. All the lines should be hooked up.

Ok well only my top line is hooked up where would i hook up the second line to i dont even have another hose everyone told me to only hook up the top line and leave the bottom one free now im even more confused

Okay your line on top of the BOV is your vacuum supply line it will be small in size, the larger nozzle is where the air from the BOV gets released, you should hook up the larger one and route the hose back into the pipe the goes from the air filter to the turbo, this needs to be done so that the car will run correctly.

ok the top on is hooked up and everyone i talk to tells me not to hook up the other one but ill try it i looked up a couple other threads and it looks like people had the same problem that it was hitting the fuel cut how do i adjust it so this wont happen

Well, I went and unhooked and rehooked everything went for a test drive and. 1st and second gear are ok blow off seems to work fine i can get to 40mph in 2nd without any problems and its abot 10-12lbs boost but after that is whee the problem begins 3rd gear the bov doesnt really work that well and i have to let off the gas manually for it to work then when i go to 4th and 5th the boost guage which only goes to 20lbs is pinned at 20 and it doesnt blow from the bov the max mph I can get to in 4th or 5th is 60 cause its pinned at 20lbs and if i manually let off the gas for it to blow as soon as i hit the gas its zooms back up to 20lbs. The other thing is that i messed with the soft/hard screw n the greddy and that seems to do nothing as soon as u loosedn it the slightest bit itjust spins off and if u go to tighten it it barely turns what the hell is wrong with this is it the bov by chance

i dont have a turbo motor so im just gonna take a shot at this....did u lose anything in the packaging for the bov or whatever else u put on? it sounds like ur missing stuff so contact the place u bought it from or get someone to ur car before u rape something. :D but thats just my 2 cents (i know i always "misplace" stuff).

Check and make sure thae vac line hasnt been disconnected from the wastegate actuator. It is a small gold canister bolted to the turbo and it has a vacum line going to it. This doesnt sound like a bov problem and it seems if you dont understand exactly how a turbo system works. The bov is supposed to work when you let off the gas. Bov doesnt regulate boost psi, the wastegate does. You really need to do some more learning before you keep modding. Do you have a real boost gauge or are you using the stock gauge?

Ok well im not an idiot. I do have a aftrmarket boost guage. I do know how a turbo setup works kinda but im not an expert obviously the wastgate i need to check but it seems like everything is hooked up right just really f*cking annoyed at this

Well like 92awddsm said your BOV doesn't control your boost it just releases the air that is in the intercooler tube back into the intake pipe, so that it doesn't try and flow backwards into the turbo and destroy your turbo. It sounds like your wastegate is sticking and causing your boost to raise up to 20lbs, I would get a good wastegate and replace it to see if that fixes the problem or buy or make a manual boost controller and see if you can get the boost to come down a bit.
