Start up scream

Hey guys,

when I do a cold start on the talon it gives out a loud scream for a couple seconds.
It sounds like a belt problem, when I give it a little gas during the scream, the scream gets louder. I think it may be the alternator belt. During an inspection at a local shop i told the guy about it, he gave a quick check to the alternator belt for tightness and said he couldnt see whats wrong with it.
what do you guys think?

Its common for the alternator belt to squeal, but the belt can feel like you have plenty of tension. Tighten it little more and check if the screaming goes away. (just don't overtighten).

There is only alternator/water pump belt, PS belt, and AC belt. Out of three cadidates, alternator is usually the girl that screams.

And, check the harmonic balancer.

The same thing went wrong on my car! It is becasue the belt isn't tight enough. It may feel tight enough but it isnt. Tighten it and the post what happens!
