Exhaust manifold

ok, so i get the 9 nuts off the studs that connect the manifold to the block, then i get off the 3 bolts, and the nut that connect manifold to turbo, but i cant get the stud out. and i cant pull the manifold either way to get it away from the studs. is there any way of not having to take apart the turbo and everything? i tried vfaq, but it didnt help much. i just need a simple instruction on what i should do

You might get the stud out using this trick,
Screw 2 nuts onto the stud, don't tighten the first one all the way down to the turbo housing.
Use 2 wrenches & tighten the 2 nuts against each other.
Use 1 wrench to unscrew the bottom nut, which should turn both nuts & the stud together.
& of course soak the stud with liquid wrench or other penetrating oil where it screws into the turbo housing.
Throw away the removed stud & use 4 new bolts & lockwashers when you reinstall

There is also a sealing ring b/w the turbo and the manifold that can make the job difficult.
