I have a 91 fwd turbo. The other day I went to check my oil level and it was real low so I was woundering how did it get so low. I looked under the car and I realized a little puddle of oil on the floor and some drips of oil on the house that holds the oil filter. I figured that the oil filter was probably loose or may of goting a hole. It was time for an oil change anyway so I did. Its been 2-3 weeks since then and took a look under the car just the other day and I saw another puddle. I made sure the filter was tight and the oil pan bolt was tight because I saw drips of oil oth the tip of the bolt and on the housing of the oil filter again. I used some brake cleaner to clear out the oil mess because there is alot sticking on the bottom of the motor but not from this problem just oil thes been there be for my ownership of the car. But I realized when I sprayed the oil that was falling off the motor was dripping right at those spots where I found the drips sitting. SO i figure the oil leak is coming for some where above the oil filter or so. Can some one tell me what could be the most possible thing down there to leak oil or what can I do to really find it because what ever it is, its leaking oil on the whole bottom of the engine under high pressure. I mainly see the fresh oil leak close to the front motor mount and close to the top of the oil pan, around that area. Please help.
