Ok, a friend of mines has a 95 GST. When he starts the car it idles fine....once he gives it gas all hell breaks loose. The car cannot make any boost at all and once it goes past 3000 rpms it basically dies. He just installed the Keydiver chip which converts the boost gauge into a knock sensor. Well now when we start the car the gauge goes 3/4 all the way to the top, which would mean he is getting serious knock at idle. We installed new spark plugs and it is still sputtering. Here is his mod list

Built 6 Bolt Engine
255 HP Pump
Denso 660s
2.5" Exhaust
PTE 50 Trim
Ported Evo MAnifold w/ external gate
Stage 3 Keydiver Chip

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated as we are stumped. Only thing he can come up with is maybe a fuel issue.

your running a high pressure fuel pump with a key drivers ship for your injectors and its tuned. You definatly need to lower you fuel pressure but I think you having another problem right now. I would definatly lower you fuel pressure. Idles fine I guess your not runnign rich. Make sure everything in the engine bay is plugged in. Did you do anything in the engine bay in before this started happening. Or did you just intall the key drivers ship and this started happening.
 
well it was sort of fine after the turbo install which was recent. We thought the chip would help....but it did nothing. What are the signs of injectors going bad?

Short of flow testing your injectors, you can pull out your spark plugs and if any one is more white (Lean) black (Rich) than the others, thats your bad injector.

Well with the 660's i have been running pig rich so I changed the spark plugs which were black. Put in new NGK's. Car still ran like crap. I cant rev past 3000 or the car just dies out and the rpm drops to like 200 before coming back up and settling at 1k. I think its a fuel issue and not timing. I am gonna try to change the injectors and put my original eprom in and see whats happens. Keep the advice coming.

Hey old thread but what happened was my timing was knocked way off some how. I had like 3 bent valves behind it.

My timing on my crank was about 45 degrees off. Dont ask me how cause i dunno :(. But its all better now.
