Okay so my stereo system died on me yesterday, and now my DSMLink will not remember my settings.... is it possible that the 2 are linked? I get no power to my cd player or navigation system. I have to hook up my laptop everytime i start the car to load my dsmlink settings. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Sounds like a fuse or something to me, maybe a dying battery? DSMLink is just a EPROM chip, there isn't any additional wiring (except for the diagnostic port to computer cable), correct? After checking the fuses, I would pull the head unit out and see exactly which wire (constant or ignition) has no power. Also check battery ground for corrosion.

Thanks for the response....Ive checked most of the fuses, and they all seem to be working. Honestly I can careless about the stereo... I just dont understand the probelem with the ECU/DSMLINK.

Everything else on the car works fine. All my gauges, lights, etc. etc....

I just dont understand why its not holding the information. If my batterey was dying I think a lot more would be dying??? What do you think? I have to wait till Sunday to have someone look at it.

Again THanx
