boost drops off after 5500rpm's

my boost is dropping off after 5500 rpm's. i can't figure it out, any ideas from you guys would be great....here's the story

i have a 16g turbo, fmic, 550's ,fuel pump, some engine work done..anywho when doing second or third gear pulls i hit about 17-18psi till i get to 5500 then it drops to 15 by 7000...it's starting to get on my nerves...

Leaky or weak BOV?

do a leak test. And some 1g BOV does leak after a certain PSI. Get the 1g leak preventer from dejohntools.com it makes the BOV sound awesome and it holds solid.

I agree that it seems to be a leak on the intake or exhaust. Check all the nuts/bolts on the exhaust to make sure it is tight, leak check the intake at 20 psi.

You should find your problem once you do this.
