Possible vaccum leak ? help me

i have a 95 esi and i really have no clue what it is but i was reading around and only thing that sounded like my problem was a vaccum leak. basically on the back of my intake manifold all stock if u look down on it the farthest plug thing on the back to the right has a silver pipe coming out of it and a little bracket that is no longer attatched up on the intake it slides down the tube. there are holes in it and look like there should be rings. also it makes my car idle horribly and act like it wants to die and makes a hissing noise any help let me know

yes sounds like a vacuum leak. replace the hose then see if it idles fine. IF it doesnt, go into more detail about your prob.

its not a hose though it is a metal pipe and there is a metal peice that like should be up against the manifold and if i push it back up against there no air comes out but if it slides down like it does it makes my car idle horibbly when i stop and want to die it has two holes in the metal piece and im guessing there should be screws ?
