I just bought a 95 talon Tsi 177k miles, automatic, and no mods other than a K&N air intake system, Here's what happens. When I floor it or apply heavy throttle my car makes a stuttering sound, it sorta vibrates and doesn't seem to have boost, when I back off throttle for a second and re apply throttle again it seems to drive fine. At first I thought the front tires where spinning because it had bad tires, but I replaced with good tires, and at WOT from a dead stand still it will do it for a second or two and then disappear, or sometimes not at all. It sounds similar to someone pounding a fist on your front door really fast, and then I don't seem to have much power. I read a lot of posts but couldn't find anyone else who had described anything like this. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is your leaky stock blow off valve. Its just kinda jumpy when you are on the throttle pretty hard?

well when I step on the throttle heavy or full throttle the car makes a stuttering sound, like someone pounding a fist on a door really fast and the car does not have much power, it bog down and loose power and make this sound. If i back off throttle for a second and reapply throttle it has a lot of power. More or less I have to ease my way into full throttle instead of just stepping on it. That's the best I can describe what's going on

hmm, i dont think there is usually a sound with the BOV leakage. I almost want to say it might have to do with your injectors, but i dont know how they would not work, and then when you re apply throttle then they work.

Does it do this every time even when its been running for a while? Or just when cool or cold? I have a feeling that the knocking you are hearing is the motor moving back and forth like its got a bad motor mount but that wouldnt cause it to run like that. I wonder if you might be experiencing the first signs of crank walk. I dont know cause I have never had cw, but Ive heard it happens alot to 95's. Ask a moderator or wiseman. Im sure they have had crank walk a time or two. You might be able to see it. Does it do it in neutral? Probably not since there is no load on the motor in neutral. You might be able to grab the crankshaft (while off) and move it in and out. If it has cw. Hopefully Im wrong.

the problem usually occurs when I have been driving the car for a while, sometimes it will happen under light throttle and sometimes under heavy throttle. it generally only happens in the first 3 gears. I am taking it to a shop for diagnosis on Thursday, I'll post the results of what the problem really is then.
