hey guys i have a quick question...
ive been idling at 2000rpm, when cold and when i come back from a drive, it jumps to 2500rpm...
and the other day, i jumped the throttle cable off the half moon thing behind the throttle body to see if that helped and the idle decreased to 900rpm, and it was kidna shakey...
i was wondering, normally should the butterfly valve be closed fully at idle or be opened a tad bit? i think i heard that the valve should be closed and there is another route for the air to go at idle into the intake mani (bypassing the butterfly valve) but im not so sure...
so my main question is, should the valve be closed or open at idle? if it should be open i think i might have to adjust the throttle cable...how do i do this?
one more question:
the car vibrates BAD at 900rpm ( no balance shafts in the motor) is that normal? i mean its pretty bad...i dont feel it over 1000rpm tho..
lemme know what the dealyo is
Chet
