My Oil pressure seems to go way down when i am idling like less than 1/4 and sometimes the engine will start to make a wierd noise when the pressure gets to low. It seems to only make the sound when the car has been running for a while and then it idle's. What can I do?

Properly check your Base Idle & Base Timing settings - the Manual says an Oil Pressure Gauge Indication slightly below the Low mark is a Normal Indication only at idle. If it's warmed up in Iowa you may want to go to 10w40 next Oil change if you haven't already.

Currently I am running 10w30 but would it help if i went 10w40 synthetic or should i just stick with regular 10w40.

I run 10W40 Syn - but as I said if it's finally warmed in Iowa up I'd go with 10W40 - You'll get these type symptoms when it's time for an oil change too - & being you are running Dino Oil you will be changing the Oil OFTEN!

Ya it has started to warm up in Iowa and i had an oil chang not very long ago like a week or so with 10w30 but i took it to the track like 2 days after that and ran pretty hard so do you think i need another oil change?

No - Just check your Oil after a run like that - Maybe add 10W40 if it's low & PROPERLY check your Base Idle & Base Timing settings. Low Idle speed will of course result in Low Oil Pressure at Idle.

How do i check idle and base timing settings?
My idle stays at usually around 1000 it used to drop down but me friend helped me fix it.
It will howerver when im rolling and idling rev to 1400 then drop to 1000 slowly but when im nto moving wit wont idle surge.

Ya thats how my friend did it. My idle isnt really a prob its just the low oil pressue im gonna get an oil change to 10w40 see if it fixes it.
Thanks
