I am about to call an electrician who comes to your house and traces out problems but I wanted to run my problem by DSMers first:
Car was running fine. Went to crank it one morning four weeks ago and it just turned and turned but would not fire up. I checked all the following before discovering my 30amp fuselink labeled "MOTOR" under the hood was blown:
>check fuel pump...working fine
>ordered new relay fuse for fuel pump though HRC
>check wiring to fuel pumpe etc...looks fine
After I discovered it was my blown fuse link I bought more and have since blown 10 trying to trace what I think is a short. I thought it may be an internal ground in my starter so I replaced it. Problem still persists.
I had a mechanic friend of mine come out and he spent an hour checking it out and said the only thing he could guess would be the brain had gone out. I asked my cousin-in-law who works for the Mitsu dealership as a mechanic and he said he never heard of a CPU blowing fuses. He suggested I call this TPA who drives around in his van for a living tracing out wiring issues in vehicles.
Before I call does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks,
