hello, i have 75k on my 98 GSX, i was thinken of taking out the cat, is it ok to remove it w/ these cars, will i gain or loose power.... better or poorer gas millege, or anything else I should know?
thanks,mike :dsm:

You will gain power, maybe get creep, risk a huge fine in the rare case you're caught and prosecuted to the fullest, car gets a little louder, exhaust smells bad and last but not least you pollute our pristine enviroment.

Remember everytime someone removes a cat God kills a Kitten.

get a hi-flow cat, or get one from v8 ( vette or similar) and put that in there.

I agree. I took out my straight pipe to put in a high flow to pass emissions and i didn't feel a power loss at all. Not to mention i'm legal now and i don't have all that brown buildup on my bumper everytime i drive for 2 seconds:rolleyes:
