EGT guage acting wierd

I have a greddy egt guage that operates fine while cruising but when I punch the gas it goes backwards all the way to 300 celcius it also floats around sometimes. It operated fine for about 6-8 months, this just started happening 3 weeks ago. I have not changed any thing since the problem. If anyone has heard of this problem or knows what it could be let me know thanks.

If they were not so expensive i would almost ask you to try another guage, you should never be blowing colder air once you accelerate, what runner did you tap?

1st runner but nothing has changed since I installed it 8 month ago all of a sudden it started to freak out.
