Low, Weird idle, Help!

Hey all,

I just recently purchased a 98 GST, when revving the engine the needle will go up then drop all the way down and the car will start to cough and sputter, then seconds later it will come back to life again and run like normal. Now it has a turboXS BOV on it. ive been told that becuase the BOV dosent have a recirc tube that this is the reason it is doing it? any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S Also, sometimes the car will shake at idle, like vibrate enough to make the hood on its prop rod wiggle. any ideas?

I had the same problem, sometimes mine would die. Test your IAC motor (instructions in vfaq), that was my problem.

this is probably the case! take it off your car (located under the throttle body) and check for wear, build-up, or fluids! also check plugs, wires, all ignition! the iac was bad on mine....it had the same symptoms!!!!
