I just bought this car from a dealer, on tuesday. They told me that an old man owned it, but I am definately thinking otherwise now. Off of the throttle body there are 4 vacume tubes. On my car two are spliced but are connected to nothing. Does anyone know if this is normal, was there a boost gauge that the previous owner disconnected? Could this be why my car is as slow as snot?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

oh yeah its a 93 gsx with an a/t

Thanks

You don't have a year for the car so i can't say for sure. On the 1g there are 2 lines running off the t-body that then run to Ts around the front passenger side of the engine. The long line off the Ts go back to the EGR adn the short line runs to a sensor just below the upper radiator hose. Yes this could be why your car is running poorly. See if there is a fitting for a sensor just below the radiator cap. It is actually connected to the thermostat housing.

they have a diagram of the vacome tubes stock, and another diagran of the vacume lines after removing all of the emmisions, like on my car.
it should help you out, my guess is some of your underhood emmisions equipment had been bypassed. absolutly all of mine has been bypassed, i dont even have a charcoal canister.

The car is a 1993 gsx. It is the lines that run from the tb to the thermostat housing. The fitting are cracked right off. I am getting a new housing from the parts forum.

Thanks
