My Tail fuse keeps blowing out(the one that supplies power to the tail lights, parking lights, sidemarkers and interior light). I don't know what the hell can keep causing this. On the box it says it uses a 15amp fuse but when I first went to pull it out, it was using a 25amp fuse. Every single time I change it and when my car starts moving, the fuse blows. Its only that one that blows out. If I'm just standing there and not moving in or out of gear, the fuse doesn't short at all.

I noticed this started happening after we did the clutch/flywheel job. We rewired the FP and installed indiglos earlier but everything ran great for at least 400 miles before the clutch/flywheel job.

Can this be bad grounding? I did noticed that ever since I took off the negative terminal on the battery, the thing has been a lot looser but wouldn't everything else blow too?

Okay, this is getting really hard to fix. I've taken light bulb per light bulb out and its still blowing the fuses. I've gone through at least 4 boxes of fuses and they're still blowing out. I've even took out the whole gauge cluster and its still blowing out.

taking the light bulbs out isn't going to fix your problem.. There is still power in the lines that usually feed the bulbs...

Defiant posted how to go about solving this, but maybe you just missed his post.????

And tighten the terminal clamp...

I'm not sure if this is it, but I have a aftermarket stereo and I did pull out it out before. When I pulled out everything, I saw a black wire hanging around. It should be a ground wire right? The stereo works and all, so I'm not sure if its making the fuse blow or not. I'm going to ground it later to see if it solves everything.

Gonna be going to get a multimeter tomorrow. I went around looking for one today but no dice. Do you guys think it can be any wiring plugs on the tranny? Since this did start happening after the clutch job...

I don't know of any that would affect your tail lights, side markers, parking lights, etc. There's the backup light switch there. But who knows what happened? If you suspect this, pull off every connector on the tranny and see if it changes anything.

Yup, been there done that. Did everything I was only down to the end where I had to pull my side markers. I cut off all the wires to the sidemarkers and VOILA!! that was it... Now the car runs with the lights on. Now I'm not going to be bald anymore.:thumb:

This just started happening to me last night.

Tail lights... no go
Gauge lights... no go
Headlights... go
Foglights... go
Hazards... go
Turn signals... go
Brake lights... go
Reverse lights... go

I narrowed it down to a faulty parking light output from my alarm, so I unplugged it. The problem is still there. I'm considering rewiring the car at this point. Separate parking light relay. Separate parking light wires.

This is so friggin annoying!!!
