OR IF YOU WANT ILL EXPLAIN

Turn your caps off!!!!

The 272's can mess with idle vacume. Do a search on "272 idle" and I am sure you will find something to work with.

i dont know if you got my message, could the cams cause the motor to shut off when i stomp on the brakes and cause such a low vacuum
if so what could i do to raise the vacuum and how do i check for leaks

thanks for your help and being patient with me:D

As I have said before the 272s can lower idle vacume. this is just something that has to be delt with when you go that agressive on cams. Additionally you can adjust your idle speed by playing with the biss. The vibration is probably from the low rpm and if you have prothanes.

I have asked ya to do a compression test like twice already now. did ya do it? what were the results.

i had the same problem and it took me two days to figure it out. i have 264 cams. come to find out that my exhaust cam was off by one or two teeth! you have to line the exhaust cam up with the intake cam marks this is kind of tricky since the exhaust cam seem to want to pop backwards a little bit! try this first if it persist then you have a vacuum leak!:thumb:

Hey, I jus installed 264/264 cams and i'm idling/cruising like crap, surging/missing and sometimes stalling. All marks are lined up (I DID IT TWICE!) on timing belt but when I hook up a timing light and run it the exhaust cam sprocket mark is 1 tooth higher than intake (!?!?!?!?). Did you have the same thing?
