WHen it is extremly cold outside my clutch pedal feels almost like there is nothing there and its hard to get into gear. It feels like the Slave or master is bad. I have looked at the slave and there is no fluid near the slave when i pull the boot off. So it must be the master then huh, Is this a common prob on a 92 1g. AND HERE IS THE ?? OF THE DAY. I work at advance auto parts and a 90-92 TSI says there is a differnt master for the clutch then a 93. The only difference that i see is the resivoir. There is a big price difference too. I was wondering if u could just use the one from a 93 AWD and if it would work in my 92.
Thanks
Tom

I am not 100% sure but I would think that would be the same. If you want to know if your master is bad get in the car and reach up above the clutch pedal and see if there is any fluid on the master cylinder. If there is, it is definately hosed and needs to be replaced. You may want to try bleeding your system if you can't find a leak.
